Hoofbeats on my Soul

Although history records men and horses as companions throughout the ages – there is also a similar timeline for women. I gathered a few quotes about horses and the way we feel about them – the way we try to explain what they mean to us.There is something about the soul of a horse and the soul of a woman – the deepest secrets can be shared, the most painful scars healed, the purest joy found, the most profound freedom felt.

The falling hooves are my heartbeat and free my soul to fly.

God didn’t give us wings, so He gave us horses

When you count your blessings, count your horse twice.

A woman’s place is on a horse

No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle.

The wind of heaven is that which blows between a horse’s ears.

The essential joy of being with horses is that it brings us in contact with the rare elements of grace, beauty, spirit, and fire
