In the Rain

What is a song that touches your soul?

What is the melody that makes you whole?

Is there a tune to set your spirit free?

Where is the liberty for you and me?

I find it in the rain, the silver rain

Little drops wash away the hurt and pain

Soft as gossamer, gentle as silk

Pale sapphire, clean washed milk

Heaven’s tears upon my skin

Tapping the beat on roof of tin

Liquid crystal in life-giving blood

Washing away, here comes the flood

Finding peace in the gentle whisper

Playing the tune of the elusive piper

Little rivulets, seaweed hair

Washing the grime, laying my soul bare
