Dreams fascinate me greatly. I am amazed by the ability our minds have to allow us to imagine in intricate details things we have never done, places we have never been or people we have never met. How is it possible for our brains to create a complete world that we have never seen before? It is wonderfully amazing and confusing.
Is it not strange how our minds are capable of making dreams – in their intensity, I sometimes wonder if dreams are in fact figments of imagination, or something else? How things might have been had different choices been made, alternate realities, thoughts of others, or any number of things. Do we for a moment see life as something else, is that our glimpse when our senses fail?
It is intriguing to cultivate such thoughts. I love dreaming and hold to my saying that a night spent without dreaming is a night wasted. I guess the sources of our dreams come from things we have read, watched, imagined, thought of, and every morsel of information our senses deliver to our brains. I am not sure how it works, but in this case, I think ignorance is bliss.
