Real Men

I have always had an admiration and respect for the military. What soldiers go through, the fear they face, the bravery they show, it is almost beyond comprehension sometimes. I look at men in the military – strong, confident, respectful, etc. and then I look at these guys with pants half way down their bums, studded jewellery and hair pasted to their faces in highly styled manners. There is no comparison. Man as he was supposed to be – warrior, hunter-gatherer, protector. There is something in a man’s heart, I think, that yearns for these things, and when they cannot act as they were meant to, their frustrations and masculinity is turned into confusion and these wonderful traits have to find other path

I look at how a military man acts in danger – steadfast, putting others before himself (selfless), strong and brave. I look at how they care for their families, protecting them, loving them and how their families love them and are devoted to them with deep adoration. The dynamics are right – the way of nature is being followed. Men need to test themselves, they need to go to battle, fight the foe, protect what they love, and do this all for a worthy cause and someone they love.

I respect military men, commandos, seals, marines, etc. they are unbelievable and what I love most is how we see a glimpse of man how he is supposed to be – a real man. Is anyone else out there tired of these guys who spend more time in front of a mirror doing their hair than you do, and who have entirely forgotten the ways of a gentleman?

To all the military men out there – you are awesome, thanks for all you do.
